Default Seriously. Cutscenes. God ****

Here's a little background:

I have 10 PvE characters, all are level 20. The Core classes are all at RoF, most have completed the Prophecies campaign.

6 character have completed the factions campaign, the other 2 are at Raisu (d and p aren't anywhere but Kaineng)

2 out of 10 have completed the NF campaign, 3 others are past Kodonur and into Vabbi, the rest are at Ventara Cemetery.

That means, through all of my characters, because of other people feeling like the storyline is "omg interesting" i've had to watch probably around 40 - 50 hours of cinematics. This is f-ing annoying.

Here's my suggestion:

When you try to AB and someone isn't loaded yet, it returns an error as such. This should be the same for cinematics. You can skip it, but can't do anything else in town until everyone in your party is done with the cinematic.

That way, they can still watch it, and you can finish that up and leave group if you want.

Only the 4 Voice actors of Prophecies were bought at Walmart.

I'm not too bothered by it. Mainly because I always have at least 10 firefox tabs open to alt tab back to.

I am sorry that you do not like the storylines. I do not have that many characters, and I actually enjoy the story. Granted, I am a writer (for theater) and am always looking for a decent storyline. Now, I will never skip a cimetic (unless I've seen it and everyone else wants to skips it). IF that annoys you, then don't play the missions.

I ****ing hate it when it's 7/8 wanting to skip cutscene and the last person just wants to watch the cutscene or is some goddamn afker.

Let us skip the cutscenes individually.

Ive had a character through each game, but it doesnt bother me too much to still have to sit through a 2 minute cut scene.

You are able to just minimise the game you know, while the cut scene runs through.

But why is it any better to be stand around in a town, unable to interact with anyone, while the others watch it?

That just seems a bit odd to me.

/not signed because it doesnt do anyone any harm watching them.

I mean c'mon, there are actually people out there that haven't played thru the game a zillion times. It doesn't bother me in the least when people wanna watch the cutscenes. If you don't want to watch the cutscenes then I suggest 1 of the 2 following suggestions:

1. Use henchies and/or heroes and skip the cutscenes yurself.

2. Make it abundantly clear BEFORE the mission starts that you would like everyone to skip the cutscenes. If there's even one person who doesn't want to skip, find another group.

Yes! 45 seconds of our lives is much more important than new players enjoying the game and knowing whats happening for the first time! If you don't like the cutscenes, then you don't like whats happening, so whats the point of playing?

Four Times.

same reasons as before, and i think your charcter still needs to be there, not at town to participate in the cutscene, if he isnt, and your leader, wait.. whos talking?

if im wrong, theres always other reasons, and previously stated to go by.

Yay, Frost Gate Guardian ^^

/signed, let us walk around in time or something else.

I hate watching the cinematics more than once. It's like watching a bad movie where you already know the plot -.-

You all make no sense, what he's saying, is that he doesn't enjoy watching the cutscenes 10x on each char, assuming every attempt beats the mission. Clearly you don't understand how painful it is to watch cutscenes that many times. Just let us leave the party instead of watch the cutscenes :|

Well i'll bring up the final sequence after you've beat Factions. I love this one, i really do. Damn ass long and everytime one of those bound §!$"§%!%! keeps on attacking the NPCs. The whole fricking cutscene you'll have to hear those uber loud attack sounds (for some reason they don't scale as they should in cutscenes) and everytime, eeeveeerrryyyy single time someone insists on watching it from start to finish.
Well, fine for them. But don't force me to watch it while unplugging my speakers so they don'T take serious damage from this crappy cutscene.

Give us an option to skip endmission cutscenes individually, instead of a 100% vote that never works.

I suggest exactly this whenever a cutscene argument thread pops up. Everyone who wants to should be able to watch it, and everybody who doesn't should be able to move on individually.

Yeah, yeah... you have said all the situations, but one without solution:
- AFK players.
You can't kick the out, and you'll have to wait and see cinematics already seen, even if everyone have already seen them all.

There should be NPCs in the mission starting outpost and the mission end outpost with an option to watch aready seen cinematics.

I like watching some cinematics, but some more are two slow.
If at leat they added the moving mouth to them all It would be interesting watching them all again.

I suggest you gloss over the Index of Ideas before you post ideas. This is a repeat subject. Wanna see? If you want to discuss it still, bump an existing thread. That's not as discouraged in this forum (within reason).
